This specialisation course is an intensive training program designed to explore the complex relationship between climate change, peace, and security in Africa. The program focuses on how climate-related changes such as rising temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, and extreme weather events impact conflicts and human security, and how these challenges can be transformed into opportunities for peacebuilding. It targets professionals working in peace and security, particularly within the United Nations and regional organizations, and aims to equip them with practical tools and knowledge to analyze conflicts through a climate and environmental lens and develop sustainable solutions.
