The NextGen Youth Programme is a youth initiative organized by the humanitarian organization GOAL. The program aims to bring together young people from different countries to deepen their understanding of global justice and global citizenship. It focuses on major global challenges such as climate change, health systems, and humanitarian crises. During the program, participants collaborate with young people from different countries to develop innovative ideas and solutions to these issues. They also work on producing awareness materials and campaigns to raise public awareness about global challenges. The program aims to develop critical thinking, teamwork, and intercultural communication skills while empowering young people to play an active role in creating positive change in their communities.

  • Duration: From May to July (approximately two months).
  • Number of Sessions: 10 training sessions.
  • Location: Mostly online, with in-person sessions only for participants based in Ireland.
  • Program Language: English.
  • Session Time: Usually on Thursdays at 3:00 PM Ireland time.
  • Funding: Selected participants receive a financial stipend of €400 during the program.
  • Purpose of Funding: To support internet/data costs and any travel expenses related to participation.
  • Program Activities: Training sessions, group discussions, teamwork, and designing awareness campaigns on global issues.
  • Application Process:
  • Submit a CV or portfolio.
  • Write a motivation letter of 500 words explaining why you are applying, what you will contribute to the program, and what you hope to learn.
  • Applicants may also submit a 2-minute video explaining the same points.
  • Applications must be submitted following the instructions on the official website.
  • Results Notification: Selected applicants will be notified by May 2.


Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must reside in one of the eligible countries (from the Arab countries: Iraq or Syria).
  • Age between 18 and 25 years.
  • Good proficiency in English.
  • Ability to attend all 10 sessions between May and July.
  • Willingness to work in teams and participate in activities between sessions.
  • Interest in global issues such as social justice, climate change, and development.
  • Demonstrated initiative and motivation to create positive change in the community.
  • Interest in creative approaches such as art, writing, theatre, music, or journalism is preferred.
  • Access to a device and internet connection for online participation.
