This is an initiative organized by the International Youth Center in collaboration with the European Research Center as part of the 13th edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF13). The competition aims to engage youth in developing innovative ideas and solutions using artificial intelligence technologies to support the future of resilient and sustainable urban settlements, especially those that promote social reintegration. The competition provides young people with the opportunity to learn and participate in specialized training, then use their skills to produce innovative content that presents their vision for future solutions. Participants are also given the opportunity to showcase their ideas to an international audience during the World Urban Forum events.
Details
  • Project Duration: From March 6 to May 22, 2026.
  • The competition consists of three main stages:
  1. Stage One: Online capacity-building training courses on topics related to artificial intelligence and sustainable urban development.
  2. Stage Two: A video competition using artificial intelligence techniques, through which the best submissions will be selected.
  3. Stage Three: A side event in the form of a roundtable during the 13th World Urban Forum.
  • Only applicants selected to advance to the next stage of the competition will be contacted.
  • Winners will be invited to participate in the World Urban Forum events in Baku.
Eligibility Criteria
  • The applicant must be a youth.
  • Ability to participate in online training courses.
  • Providing accurate and complete information in the application form.
  • Commitment to participate in the different stages of the competition.
  • Ability to travel to attend the 13th World Forum on Information Technology in Baku, Azerbaijan, in May 2026, if selected as a winner.
