• Age: 14–24 years old (up to 30 years old for certain prize categories for more advanced projects).
• Project: Must be an idea or active project focused on protecting or restoring nature within a local community.
• Leadership: The project must be youth-led, with young people holding decision-making authority.
• Commitment: Applicants must support the principle of protecting and restoring nature and respect the rights of environmental defenders.
• If legally a minor, a local partner organization is required to manage the grant on the applicant’s behalf.
• Direct financial support for projects ($5,000 – $15,000).
• Networking opportunities, training, and capacity building support.
• Media exposure for winning projects.
