The second edition of the Youth-led AI4 Climate Resilience and Civic Engagement Summer School, organized by Together for Blue and Green, the EcoEquity Hackathon: Climate Action for All, brings together ambitious young changemakers to co-create innovative and inclusive solutions for environmental protection and sustainable development in Algeria and the Mediterranean region.  With a strong focus on climate equity, participants will work on challenges linked to the green and blue economy, including energy transition, sustainable agriculture, forest protection, recycling and circular economy, and the protection of marine and water ecosystems. The hackathon is designed to turn local challenges into actionable solutions with real impact.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ⚠️📅 Program Commitment: Selected participants must be fully available and committed to the entire program, which includes:

📅 Online training phase: 5 mandatory sessions throughout April, focused on capacity-building, innovation design, problem-solving, and pitching

📅 In-person hackathon: 30 April, 1–2 May in Algiers, where teams will co-develop and pitch their solutions; active participation in all sessions is required.


🌍 What We’re Looking For: we are looking for motivated young people who:

  • Want to address real, local environmental challenges
  • Are ready to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
  • Can transform ideas into practical, scalable solutions
  • Believe in climate action that is inclusive, equitable, and community-driven

Participants are expected to respect the program timeline, collaborate professionally, and abide by the code of conduct.

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?

  • Algerian nationals only
  • Age: 18–35 years old
  • Applications are individual (no preformed teams). Teams will be created during the program to ensure diversity and collaboration.
  • Strong command of English is required, as all sessions, mentoring, materials, and pitching will be conducted entirely in English.



Applicants should demonstrate interest, experience, academic background, or active engagement in at least one of the following areas:

  1. Green & Blue sustainability
  2. Climate action and climate equity
  3. Renewable energy & energy transition
  4. Sustainable agriculture & food systems
  5. Forest protection & land restoration
  6. Recycling, waste management & circular economy
  7. Marine and water ecosystem protection
