The Regional Conference of Youth on Climate Change for the Middle East and North Africa (RCOY MENA 2026) is the official regional youth climate conference in the MENA region, organized under the umbrella of YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The conference will bring together more than 500 participants from over 20 countries, including young leaders, policymakers, researchers, government representatives, UN agencies, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and private sector stakeholders. It aims to strengthen youth engagement in climate action, build capacities, foster innovative climate solutions, and enhance regional collaboration while contributing to climate policy discussions at regional and international levels.

  • Location: Sultanate of Oman.
  • Expected Participants: More than 500 participants from over 20 countries.
  • Conference Themes:Adaptation, resilience, and community resilience.
  • Just transition, green economy, and climate innovation.
  • Climate finance, governance, and international cooperation.
  • Completing the registration form takes approximately 15 minutes.
  • Applications will be evaluated based on the quality of responses and their alignment with the conference objectives.
  • All applicants must complete the Regional Youth Survey (RYS 2026) as part of the registration process. The survey results will contribute to the Regional Youth Statement for the Arab Region, which will be presented at COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye.
  • Three participation support options are available:
  • Full support: round-trip airfare, accommodation, and meals.
  • Partial support: accommodation and meals only.
  • Self-funded participation.
  • Applicants may submit an optional one-minute video introducing themselves, highlighting their achievements, and explaining their motivation to attend. Submitting a video may improve the chances of selection.
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or financial support for travel, accommodation, or visa expenses.
  • Shortlisted applicants may be required to provide additional documents or attend an interview.
  • Accepted participants must comply with the conference Code of Conduct and policies.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must be from an eligible country within the Middle East and North Africa region.
  • All required fields in the application form must be completed.
  • Applicants must provide accurate and complete information.
  • All responses must be the applicant's own original work.
  • The use of artificial intelligence tools to write or formulate application responses is not permitted.
  • Completion of the Regional Youth Survey (RYS 2026) is mandatory before submitting the registration.
  • Applicants must agree to comply with the conference policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Selected applicants may be asked to submit additional documentation or participate in an interview.
