The Romanian Government Scholarships are offered annually by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania to students from non-European Union countries who wish to pursue higher education in Romania.

The programme aims to strengthen international academic cooperation and support academically outstanding students from around the world. Scholarships are available for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD studies at accredited Romanian universities.

Most study programmes are conducted in Romanian. Selected students who do not know the Romanian language are provided with a preparatory year to study Romanian before starting their degree.
