The ForumCiv Young Climate Champion for COP31 program offers young climate leaders the opportunity to represent youth voices and local communities at the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) in Antalya, Türkiye. The program aims to select one outstanding young climate advocate with demonstrated leadership and experience in climate action and community engagement to participate in policy discussions, side events, media engagement, and youth mobilization activities before, during, and after the conference. The initiative emphasizes climate justice, human rights, gender equality, and inclusive participation.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must be 18–30 years old at the time of COP31.
  • Must possess a valid passport or travel document.
  • Must be able to obtain COP31 accreditation.
  • Must be available to travel to Antalya, Türkiye.
  • Must commit to participating throughout the conference period.
  • Should have knowledge or experience in climate change, climate justice, or environmental sustainability.
  • Should understand the impacts of climate change on youth, women, and marginalized communities.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, advocacy, community mobilization, environmental activism, or youth engagement.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and media engagement skills.
  • Working proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to participate in activities before and after the conference.
  • Previous involvement with ForumCiv, civil society organizations, or youth climate movements is desirable but not required.
  • Applications from women, persons with disabilities, refugees, Indigenous peoples, marginalized communities, and climate-affected communities are strongly encouraged.
