Ambition Loop is offering an internship opportunity as a Mangrove Breakthrough Intern. The role supports a global initiative focused on protecting and restoring mangrove ecosystems and advancing climate finance solutions. The intern will provide cross-cutting support across finance, project pipeline management, communications, and outreach activities. Participants will assist in preparing international climate events, developing communication materials, supporting strategic activities, and contributing to the daily operations of the initiative. The opportunity is designed for current students and recent graduates interested in climate finance, international development, environmental policy, and global sustainability efforts.

Details
  • Organizing organization: Ambition Loop, a global NGO based in Chile working on climate change, biodiversity, land use, plastics pollution, food systems, and water through international collaboration.
  • Contract duration: Fixed-term consultancy contract for approximately 6 months, renewable after review.
  • Start date: July 2026.
  • Location: Fully remote; the role is global.
  • Salary: USD 400–600 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Travel: The role may require occasional travel. Work-related travel expenses will be paid directly or reimbursed according to the organization’s travel policy.
  • Equipment: Candidates are expected to provide and maintain their own ICT tools.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support project pipeline management, coordination, KPI tracking, and project updates.
  • Assist the finance lead with country finance strategies and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of national and international events, including investor meetings and climate forums.
  • Develop outreach materials for governments, financial institutions, and civil society organizations.
  • Provide operational and strategic support to the Mangrove Breakthrough team.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must be current students or recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: International Relations, Environmental Policy, Finance, Communications, Related fields.
  • Strong interest in climate finance and international development.
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in:
  • Non-profit organizations.
  • Event organization.
  • Research activities is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear and engaging materials for different audiences, including governments, NGOs, and investors.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to use remote work tools such as: Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural remote environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
