The Restoration Stewards 2027 Program is a one-year international fellowship organized by the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) in collaboration with the Youth in Landscapes Initiative (YIL). The program supports young people working on ecosystem, landscape, and seascape restoration projects. It aims to empower young leaders who are implementing environmental restoration initiatives with sustainable social and environmental impacts in their local communities.
The fellowship focuses on strengthening participants’ capacities, providing professional and technical mentorship, increasing the visibility of their projects on the international stage, and offering flexible funding to help expand their impact. Special attention is given to young women, Indigenous peoples, youth from rural areas, and underrepresented groups.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Applicants must be leaders or members of a youth-led restoration project.
- The project must have been active for at least six months.
- The project must focus on ecosystem, landscape, or seascape restoration.
- The project must integrate environmental and social objectives.
- Applicants must be willing to commit to the program’s activities throughout the year.
- Priority will be given to projects:
- Led by young people from Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
- Led by women.
